Our Founder
Better Word Partners’ founder and chief wordsmith is Steve Sampson, a writer, editor, and communications expert with over 20 years of experience in strategic communications, content development, and public affairs.
As the former Head of Marketing and Strategic Communications at Arabella Advisors, Steve successfully led efforts to enhance the firm’s visibility and impact, overseeing multi-channel campaigns and guiding thought leadership initiatives. His work included everything from digital marketing and media relations to crisis communications and book-length publications.
Before his tenure at Arabella Advisors, Steve co-founded Every Learner, Inc., where he built and managed an innovative online publication that catered to lifelong learners. His diverse career also includes roles in academia, where he taught writing at George Washington University, and in digital media, where he developed content strategies for major events including the digitization of Shakespeare’s plays and the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
Known for his ability to distill complex concepts into compelling prose, Steve is passionate about helping mission-driven organizations use strategic communications to tell their stories, engage their stakeholders, increase their influence, and amplify their impact.
